Veterinary Assistant & Receptionist

Karina joined the IPH team in August 2025. Karina was born in El Salvador and has always had a deep love for animals – especially exotics. After graduating from Western University in 2023 with a degree in Biology, Karina went on to complete the Veterinary Assistant program at Fanshawe College in 2025.

She finds her work in veterinary medicine both meaningful and rewarding, with a special interest in caring for a wide variety of species. At home, Karina shares life with a budgie, a cockatiel, and a spirited two-year-old Tortie cat. When not at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her birds and relaxing with crochet projects.
