Dr. Katelyn Elliott graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) and joined the Ilderton Pet Hospital team in May 2019. Katelyn grew up just around the corner in Dorchester, which makes her especially excited about joining a new small-town community! She loves taking the time to get to know her patients and their owners, and is looking forward to meeting the families that visit Ilderton Pet Hospital. Before her time at OVC, Katelyn graduated with honours from Western University – completing her Bachelor of Science degree in 2010 and her Master of Science degree in 2013. Following this, Katelyn spent a few years working in Long Point, ON as a waterfowl Biologist. Professionally, Katelyn is interested in canine and feline internal medicine, surgery and dentistry. Outside of work, Katelyn enjoys spending time with her kids, hiking with her two dogs, gardening, traveling, board games, and playing on various sports teams. She currently lives in Dorchester with her husband Kyle, son, daughter, and their two cuddle monsters – Juneau and Tegan. Katelyn was very involved in the OVC community during her time there, acting as the OVC Student Representative for the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association, the President of the Theriogenology Club, and the Charity Coordinator for their Professional Veterinary Fraternity. At home, she enjoys various volunteer activities including helping out with a kids’ hockey camp in Dorchester.
