Dr. Christina Douthwaite DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Christina Douthwaite grew up in a small town and set her sights on becoming a veterinarian at the age of 8. She graduated with honours from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2000. Upon graduation, she worked at a small animal hospital in Southwestern Ontario while also providing locum services for the London Humane Society, London Veterinary Emergency Clinic, and various small animal clinics. In 2005, she had the opportunity with Dr. Anderka to assist the Kirkton Veterinary Professional Corporation in setting up and co-managing the Ilderton Pet Hospital. In 2019, ownership of the Ilderton Pet Hospital was reorganized as Dr. Kim, Anderka and Dr. Christina Douthwaite purchased the retired founding members shares. Her interests lie in all aspects of feline and canine medicine and surgery. She enjoys building relationships with clients and their special companions and helping to ensure they share a long and happy life together. When not at the clinic, she enjoys going to her kids hockey games, camping, biking, hiking, gardening, photography, and stained glass. She is also involved in various volunteer activities in her community. She lives in St. Marys with her husband, daughter, son and cats, Captain Cat Sparrow (the fetching cat) and Joe the latest addition.
