Our hours of operation are Mondays to Fridays, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturdays 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.

After Hours:
For veterinary assessment or assistance after hours, we recommend the use of Smart.Vet Telemedicine services or the London Regional Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital.
1. VetWise (Formerly Smart.Vet) Telemedicine Service:
Ilderton Pet Hospital offers after-hours consultations with an Ontario-licensed veterinarian through a partnership with VetWise.
For urgent or emergency care please call the VetWise triage line at 647-695-5411 to connect with a veterinary technician who will triage your case and direct you to a veterinarian.
**Please note that this service is available to registered Ilderton Pet Hospital clients only.**
For non-emergency consultations, please go to VetWise, and click ‘Get Started’. Once you’ve created an account, you can decide to send in a message or request a phone/video call. Please note that messages are meant for non-urgent cases and will be responded to within 8 hours of submission. When you’ve submitted a phone/video request, a veterinarian will reach out to you as soon as they’re available. Please just wait for a call from 289-768-8784 – this may take more than 20 minutes when they are experiencing high call volumes. If the case is determined to be urgent or cannot be treated via telemedicine you may be redirected to the nearest available emergency clinic.
Once a request has been submitted, you can add additional notes or add images/videos to the consultation for the veterinarian’s reference.
**Please note that Smart.Vet. will be rebranding to “VetWise” over the next month (August 2025), due to the name resembling another proprietary brand. All contact information, pricing, and ownership will remain the same. They are the same proudly Canadian, independently-owned team.
2. London Regional Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital:
The London Regional Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital is located at 41 Adelaide Street North in London Ontario.

Effective August 8, 2025, the London Emergency Clinic has adjusted its hours due to unforeseen circumstances and staffing shortages. The clinic will now operate from 7:00 a.m. on Sundays to 7:00 a.m. on Fridays. Please note that it will be closed from 7:00 a.m. on Friday until 7:00 a.m. on Sunday each week.
3. Mississauga Oakville Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital:
The Mississauga Oakville Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is located at 2285 Bristol Circle in Oakville Ontario.

It is open 24 hours, Monday to Sunday.
4. Oak West Urgent Care:
In response to reduced access to veterinary services in London and the surrounding area, Oak West Animal Hospital has opened an urgent care service.
They provide veterinary care for patients in need of immediate assessment for acute medical conditions including, but not limited to, wounds, respiratory distress, urinary tract infections, ear infections, eye concerns, vomiting and diarrhea.
They are open on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
This service is an option if your pet requires veterinary care outside of our business hours and when the London Emergency Hospital is closed.

5. Southwest Veterinary Hospital:
Southwest Veterinary Hospital is a new after-hours veterinary service located in London Ontario. They provide overnight and weekend care.
They are open 24 hours between Friday at 6:00 pm and Monday at 6:00 am.

6. Pet Poison Helpline:
Pet Poison Helpline is a 24-hour animal poison control service available throughout the U.S. and Canada for pet owners and veterinary professionals who require assistance with treating a potentially poisoned pet.
