Dr. Kim Anderka DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Kim Anderka gained her love of nature and animals growing up on 100 acres of wilderness in Eastern Ontario, influenced by her biologist parents. She graduated from the University of Guelph with a BSc in 1995 and from the Ontario Veterinary College (U of G) with honours in 1997. After graduation, she worked in general practice in Eastern Ontario as well as Southern Ontario. Kim has enjoyed working at and co-managing the Ilderton Pet Hospital with Dr. Christina Douthwaite since 2005. In 2019, ownership of the Ilderton Pet Hospital was reorganized as Dr. Kim, Anderka and Dr. Christina Douthwaite purchased the retired founding members shares. She enjoys general medicine and surgery and loves all things dental! Kim finds it rewarding meeting all of the wonderful clients and patients she gets to see in practice. She also enjoys contributing to the Ilderton Fair yearly. While not at work, Kim loves raising her three children as well as kayaking, canoeing, camping, playing guitar and various volunteer activities. Kim lives in St. Marys with her husband, daughter and two sons as well as Leonard and Willy, her feline duo.
